How Cast Iron Rejuvenation Works
Decades of use leave cast iron scaled, rough and narrowed. Rust buildup catches paper and grease, channels rot along the bottom of the pipe, and every cabling job scrapes off a little more metal.
Rejuvenation starts with a camera inspection to map the system. We then descale the pipe with high-pressure jetting and mechanical descaling tools to bring it back to full diameter, and camera it again to confirm the result. Where the pipe wall is intact but worn, an epoxy lining can seal it for the long term. Where a section has failed outright, we replace only that section.
Whole-House Systems and Sewer Lines
Rejuvenation is not limited to the main line. We treat the entire cast iron system: kitchen and bathroom branches, the stack, the under-slab main and the sewer lateral out to the street or the septic tank.
Doing the whole house at once means one mobilization, one set of findings and no surprise backups from the one branch that was skipped.
Rejuvenate or Replace?
Replacing under-slab cast iron means cutting concrete, tearing out flooring and weeks of disruption. If the pipe still has sound walls, rejuvenation gets you a clean, full-diameter line at a fraction of that cost and time.
If the camera shows collapsed sections or the bottom of the pipe is gone, we tell you, and we handle the repair or replacement ourselves.
FAQ
Cast Iron Pipe Rejuvenation: common questions
How do I know if my cast iron pipes are failing?
Slow drains throughout the house, recurring backups, sewer smells, rust flakes in the tub or toilet, and drains that need cabling every few months are the usual signs. A camera inspection gives a definite answer.
Is descaling safe for old cast iron?
Yes, when the pipe is inspected first. We match the descaling method and pressure to the condition of the pipe. Descaling removes the buildup, not the pipe wall.
How long does cast iron rejuvenation take?
Descaling a typical home takes one to two days depending on the size of the system. Lining, where used, adds curing time. Either way it is far faster than a full replacement.
Does homeowners insurance cover cast iron pipes?
Some Florida policies cover damage caused by cast iron failure, and older policies may cover more. We document the condition of the lines on video so you have what you need for a claim.
So nice to have a company that actually knows what they are doing. Had two companies come to find my septic tank with no luck. Joel able to find the tank in five minutes. My tank was serviced and my drain field rejuvenated. Couldn’t have asked for a better service.

We used LCI for pumping our septic and jetting our plumbing lines after. Can’t go wrong with using LCI.
